Hello,I want to inquire about how badly the earthquake affected the region of affected and particularly the Osaka kyoiku University area?Is the area particularly earthquake prone?Again,what is the distance between Osaka kyoiku and Osaka University?

Osaka was far enough away from the quake area, and was not affected at all. As for the difference between Osaka Kyoiku and Osaka University, the first http://osaka-kyoiku.ac.jp/en/index.html is an Educational University ( to learn to become a teacher) , while the second is a more of a general university http://www.osaka-u.ac.jp/en/index.html

In particular, many foreign residents (including myself and other members of this web journal) have accused the overseas mass media of panicking locals who rely on English-language news (and their parents) by overplaying the nuclear situation in comparison to more measured domestic coverage. Those playing devils’ advocate, such as Uesugi Takashi, claim the foreign media brought a balanced viewpoint to a dangerous situation the Japanese government is doing its best to downplay.
